that life thing

things i’m lookin’ forward to in december.

HOW ARE WE ALREADY AT DECEMBER, Y’ALL?! I mean, I get it, we all say this 1000 times a year, but seriously where did this year go?

After a stressful and tense November, I am beyond ready to have things slow down for a bit. I’m in desperate need of some r&r and time with those I love. And so, I thought I’d share some of the things I’m lookin’ forward to as my favorite time of the year rolls around!

+ Taking LB on a Vintage Santa Tram ride around town. She’s old enough now to really express when she loves something and it’s going to be so incredible to see how she reacts to all the festivities!

+ Getting a Christmas tree & putting up our twinkle lights. Last year, we put up our first tree and it was so much fun. Trees go on sale late here and I just happened to spot a few at our local grocery store, so I’ll be slapping my name on the list ASAP.

+ Going home. I love being back in Texas, but I am especially looking forward to being back with the family soon. My heart is in need of a healthy dose of family craziness and I absolutely cannot wait.

+ Our family trip to Trinidad. My aunt and uncle live there and after years of trying to get there, my family finally got it together enough for almost all of us to go out there! This is the first time in many years that we’ll be having a warm Christmas, haha!

+ Celebrating our anniversary. 8 years ago around this time, I met this insanely attractive dude. His kindness, silly humor, and love immediately captured my attention. A short year later, we were married. And now, 7 years later, here we are living our life with more happiness and love than we started with. You da bestest, Amir Aslam. I love yew so.

We’ve got a lot of fun stuff coming up this next month and I intend to enjoy every moment of it! What better way to ring in the holidays and my favorite season than with multiple mugs of hot cocoa, time with loved ones, and more travel fun, am I right?!

What are y’all up to this month, friends?

xo, myra.

Yay for family at Christmastime! Trinidad doesn’t hurt either. 😉 I love when babies get to the age where they really start to appreciate it. Take it all in while you can, momma. My 9 year old is sort of already over a lot of it. I’m still dragging him to every Christmas event I can find though!
