Coffee Chatter: Part IIII

Coffee Chatter | That Girl Myra

Raise your hand if you feel like time is flying by and you have zero idea where it’s going 🙋🏻 Like, how is it already September, right?! I feel like I was just in Houston celebrating the new year!

But, I suppose, the saying is true: time flies when you’re having fun. And y’all, we’ve been having all the fun. Haha.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you…

|| That we’ve been exploring fools lately. From trips to London & Paris to checking out Norway for the first time, the travel bug in me is being thoroughly taken care of. I am pulling together pictures of our trip to Norway, so I’ll put up a separate post about how we tackled that trip soon!

Norway Hike - Kinsarvik Camping

|| Being a business owner is hard work. But, I love it so much. I’ve recently been settling further into my role as the CFO and it’s been so good for my nerdy business heart. Finally putting my degrees to good use is making me quite the happy worker bee.

|| Watching Sofia get older is giving me all sorts of mom-feels. I’m so lucky and blessed that I get to be with her and see her thriving, but y’all, I am not ready for her to be such a big girl!!! Where did my wittle teeny baby go?!

Coffee Chatter - Sofia Reading

|| I’ve been crunching through my to-read list like a crazy person recently. I’ve read some really heavy books (I promise there’s a book roundup coming) so now I’m in need of some light & easy reads. Any suggestions?

|| For the last few months, I have consistently been going to the gym/doing my workouts + eating well and I am finally seeing the changes I’ve been after. To watch my body get to the point where it’s losing inches (and some extra weight) is amazing. I’ve been working really hard and it’s just so nice to see results.

And to hit on something very near & dear to my heart…

|| We’re going home next week and it couldn’t come at a better time. After all the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, I am ready to be back in my home city where I can physically help out. Houston, I’ve never been more proud to have been raised in your streets. The amount of love, compassion, empathy, and kindness I’ve seen from Houstonians is overwhelming. #HoustonStrong

If you’re still looking for places where you can send donations to, please think about some of the following: SPCA of Texas, JJ Watt Foundation via YouCaring, Red Cross, Greater Houston Community Foundation.

There are thousands of displaced folks & their pets, so remember, any little bit helps! ❤️

|| To my Florida friends, please be safe. Take any and all precautions that you can for Irma. Board up your windows, know where your circuit breaker is if you need to shut down the power, stock up on food & water. And, of course, if there is anything we all can do to help you as you prepare, PLEASE let us know!

Happy Wednesday, my little pumpkins.

Your travels are giving me such serious wanderlust pains! There was talk for a second of us going back to London this fall and I was going to insist on a weekend in Amsterdam if we went, but it looks like a no-go now 🙁

Such a big little girl you have. Your instastories of her always make me smile! She’s just the stinkin’ cutest and I love seeing Mom Myra in action <3
