that life thing

weekending: a whole lot of family + r&r, hallelujah.

I’m comin’ at ya in real time today, y’all! I know, exciting things, huh? 😜 I had all good intentions of writing some posts this weekend, but then, I decided to enjoy doing nothing instead, lol.

But, anyways, happy Monday. Let’s recap the weekend, shall we?
this is your monday morning reminder that you can handle all things that

SATURDAY

Amir kicked off the morning with a Crossfit class, so of course, I had to keep it up with my own workout. I checked out a new indoor cycling studio on Saturday, and y’all, it was incredible. The class was so tough, but I walked outta there feelin’ like a total rockstar. Hahaha! And, since I was such a good girl and did my workout, we decided coffee + donuts were the logical next move.

And since I was a bad blogger and took no pictures of it, just know that I was saying this to my donut until I gobbled it down.

We also started watching Ballers (which if you liked Entourage, you’ll like this), so we spent the rest of the afternoon being lazy and hanging out with The Rock 💁🏻

Amir had dinner plans with some friends and while I was invited, I decided to stay at home and enjoy some quiet time. I ordered in a taco bowl + finally got to watch Fifty Shades Darker — and can I say, it was the perfect night, haha. PS: the movie was total smut, but perfect for my “i want to think about nothing” night.

With how busy I’ve been with work + life lately, I sometimes forget how important it is for me to have some me-time where I do absolutely nothing at all. So, I’m going to keep working on that because, it totally saves my sanity.

SUNDAY

Another day of doing only what we wanted. Little Gym has finally started their new semester of classes, so we brought Sofia to play. She ran around like a total goon and had fun playing with some friends!

Back home, it was time for more Ballers binging. We legit went through one whole season in like 2 days, haha. A little while later, we heard from our friends that they were in our neighborhood, so we bundled up LB and off we went to meet them.

There is something so nice about getting out of the door in a few minutes and just walking over to the restaurant on the corner to have drinks & catch up with friends. And with the weather getting chillier, it’s the perfect time for hot cocoa! If you’ve known me for any time at all, you probably know I’m a hot cocoa lover, so let me just say, dear cold weather, I love you.

And that, friends, was the whole weekend for us.
A lot of nothing + a lot of family time = one happy Myra.

Linking up with Biana today.
